Storm Quest Pass

Flexible, Short-Notice Storm Chasing Opportunities for Local Participants

Looking for a more flexible way to join me on a real storm chase without booking one of my full multi-day tours?

The Storm Quest Pass is designed for people who are local, flexible, and able to be on call when promising severe weather setups develop. Instead of committing to a full weeklong tour, this gives you the opportunity to purchase chase days in advance and use them throughout the 2026 storm chasing season.

Because storm chasing is highly weather dependent, this option is best for people who understand that departure times, target areas, trip length, and even whether a chase happens at all can change right up until the last minute.

What is a Storm Quest Pass?

A Storm Quest Pass gives you the opportunity to join me on a real storm chase when a setup looks worth going after.

These are not fixed calendar bookings. Instead, they are flexible, short-notice chase opportunities offered throughout the season whenever severe weather conditions line up.

This option is mainly intended for people who are local to Minnesota, or who can easily get to the Maple Grove / west metro area early in the morning on potential chase days.

How It Works

• You will purchase Storm Quest Passes in advance and use them when confirmed chase opportunities come up during the season.
• Each pass covers one chase day.
• A minimum purchase of 2 Storm Quest Passes is required.
• Some chase days may remain one-day trips, while others may unexpectedly turn into two-day chases depending on how far we go, how the setup evolves, and whether it makes sense to return the same night. The 2-pass minimum helps ensure that if a chase becomes a two-day trip, everything is already covered in advance.
