Weather-Dependent Activity
All Storm Quest Pass opportunities are weather dependent. Potential chase days may be discussed in advance, but no chase is considered official until I confirm that we are going. Even a promising setup can weaken, shift, or become not worth chasing by the day of departure.
Minimum Purchase Requirement
A minimum of 2 Storm Quest Passes is required for purchase. This is because some chase opportunities may unexpectedly turn into a second day due to long travel distances, overnight logistics, or the possibility of chasing again the following day.
Pass Usage
Each confirmed chase day uses 1 Storm Quest Pass. If a trip becomes a two-day chase, 2 Storm Quest Passes will be used.
Guest Confirmation Policy
Once I officially confirm a chase and ask for your final commitment, you will need to confirm whether you are in or out for that chase. Once you confirm that you are going, that Storm Quest Pass is locked in for that day. If you later cancel, back out, or fail to show up after confirming, that pass will be considered used and is nonrefundable.
Guest Availability
If you are not available for a potential chase day before giving final confirmation, that is completely fine. Your pass simply remains unused and can be used for another confirmed chase opportunity later in the season, subject to pass expiration.
Required Forms
All required forms, including any waiver, release, medical, or other required guest forms listed on the website, must be fully completed before participating in any Storm Quest Pass chase. If these required forms are not completed in advance, you will not be allowed to participate, and no refund will be issued. Please make sure to review and complete all required forms before purchasing or participating in a Storm Quest Pass chase.
Refunds and Rollovers
Storm Quest Passes are generally nonrefundable and valid only through the 2026 storm chasing season. However, the following exceptions apply:
If there are zero viable chase opportunities during the entire 2026 season, any unused Storm Quest Passes will either be refunded or rolled over into the following season.
If I am unable to operate a confirmed chase due to circumstances on my end, including illness or other unforeseen issues outside your control, any affected unused pass will either be refunded or credited toward another chase opportunity.
Outside of those situations, unused passes expire on November 30, 2026 and do not automatically roll over.
Lodging Responsibility
Lodging is not included with Storm Quest Passes. If an overnight stay becomes necessary, guests are responsible for arranging and paying for their own hotel accommodations. Sleeping in the vehicle is not permitted.
Pickup Policy
The standard meeting area for Storm Quest Pass guests is the Maple Grove / northwest metro area. In limited cases, I may be able to offer pickup if you are directly along my route to the chase target and it does not add significant time or distance. Pickup is not guaranteed.
No Guaranteed Weather Outcome
Purchasing a Storm Quest Pass does not guarantee that you will see a tornado, supercell, photogenic storm, or any particular type of severe weather. You are paying for the opportunity to participate in a real chase experience based on the best forecast judgment at the time.
Right to Cancel or Decline
I reserve the right to cancel a chase, adjust plans, or determine that a setup is no longer worth pursuing at any time if conditions change or safety, logistics, health, mechanical issues, or other circumstances make the chase impractical or unwise.
Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing Storm Quest Passes, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms and understand the flexible, weather-dependent nature of storm chasing.
